Sophomore running back Carter Williams and senior Hayden Baker each caught a touchdown reception, and senior Chase Anderson added a touchdown run.
Junior fullback Justin Abbot led the Hawks on the ground with 129 yards rushing.
Canyon Lake faces the high-scoring Patriots who are coming off a 55-0 win over San Antonio MacArthur. Against MacArthur, Patriots senior quarterback Jason Cantu went four out of five for 86 yards through the air with two touchdown passes. Also sharing duties under center is senior Chris Irving who was six out of nine passing for 49 yards. But Irving scored two rushing touchdowns.
The Patriots’ leading rusher against MacArthur was junior James Peoples with 123 yards and two touchdowns on seven carries.
In their first three games, Veterans Memorial has scored 141 points and only given up 42 points.
